Acting Chair Quinn called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
I. BUSINESS AGENDA
Consensus existed to add consideration of a co -responder program contract with Sound Health.
A. 20212 n Quarter Police Department Report
Staff presented the report.

• Determine if Mayor Ekberg met with County representatives regarding the public health
approach to gun violence.
• Provide additional information on trespassing incidents.

B. Contract with Sound Health
Staff is seeking Council approval of a contract with Sound Health in the amount of $85,000 for
co -responder services with the Police Department to provide de -escalations, diversions and
referrals.

Unanimous approval. Forward to August 3, 2021 Regular Meeting.
C. Police Department Community Engagement Plan
Staff presented the Plan.

• Provide Tukwila School District's School Resource Officer survey and results.

D. Fire Marshal Office Alternatives
Staff returned with additional detail on the fire marshal services currently performed and
those not being provided, along with a proposed timeline that

• Provide prioritization of service enhancements
• Further explain how the presented options will address the issues.
