ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 726 S 8
AND TUKWILA MUNICIPAL CODE 2.68.370
TO BRING THE PROCEDURES FOR APPEALS OF
TUKWILA MUNICIPAL COURT DECISIONS IN CONFORMANCE
WITH'WASHINGTON STATE SUPREME COURT RULES
WHEREAS, the Washington State Supreme Court has promulgated
Rules For Appeal of Decisions of Courts of Limited Jurisdiction
(RALJ), effective January 1, 1981; and
WHEREAS, these Supreme Court rules have substituted a
review upon the record for what had previously been a trial de
novo as the established method of appeal to the Superior Court.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 2.68.370 of the Tukwila Municipal Code is amended
to read as follows:
2.68.3.70 Appeal to Superior Court Record on
Review Appeal to Supreme Court
In the Superior Court, the contents of the record,
on appeal and the procedures governing the
transmittal and copying of this record shall be
in accordance with Title 6 of the Washington
State Supreme Court Rules for Appeal of Decisions
of Courts of Limited Jurisdiction (RALJ), and
with any amendments or additions to said Rules.
