ORDINANCE NO. 1266
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 696 WHICH ANNEXED CERTAIN
PROPERTY TO THE SOUTH MOST BOUNDARY OF THE CITY
OF TUKWILA.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 696, adopted the 6th day of March, 1972,
annexed certain property that is adjacent and contiguous to the south
boundary of the City, and
WHEREAS, it has now been found necessary to change the wording
of that legal description to clarify the boundary between the Cities of
Kent and Tukwila.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Exhibit A, which is incorporated by reference under Section
1, Ordinance 696, passed the 6th day of March, 1972, is hereby amended
to read as follows:
Legal Description of property annexed to City of Tukwila:
A portion of Government Lot 7, Section 35, Township 23
North, Range 4 East, W.M., in King County, Washington, des-
cribed as follows:
Beginning on the easterly margin of County Road in Government
Lot 7, in said section at a point south 89 °03'20" east 1656.75
feet and north 0 °56'40" east 1048.79 feet north of the southwest
corner of the southwest quarter of said section 35; thence south
8 °13'05" east 36.70 feet; thence south 19 °59'25" west 520.10
feet; thence south 73 °05'40" east 233.32 feet; thence north
16 °19'55" east 474.00 feet; thence south 64 °17'20" east 232:26
feet -te- bank -ef -G een- R4vert east 232.26 feet more or less to
a point on the river bank which is the intersection of a Per-
pendicular line to the middle of Green River; thence along said
perpendicular line to the middle of the river; thence northerly
along said bank middle of Green River to the north line of said
Government Lot 7 extended easterly in said section 35; thence
westerly along said north line extension and the north line of
said Government Lot 7 to the easterly margin of said County
Road; thence southerly along said easterly margin to the point
of beginning; EXCEPT ROADS.
