ORDINANCE NO. 1265
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ;TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
11) CLARIFYING AND BRINGING INTO CONFORMANCE WITH
STATE LAW THE LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF THE COMMON
BOUNDARY BETWEEN THE CITY OF TUKWILA AND THE
CITY OF KENT AND AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 269.
00 WHEREAS, the King County Boundary Review Board has expressed
concern that there is a problem regarding the common boundary line between
the cities of Kent and Tukwila, and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Director has worked with representatives
from the City of Kent to correct this discrepancy to bring it into confor-
mance with State Law.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 of Ordinance No. 269 passed the 16th day of March,
1959, is hereby amended as follows:
Section 1. That pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 128
of the Session Laws of the State of Washington for 1945 the following
described property contiguous to the town limits of the Town of Tukwila,
to -wit:
Beginning at the intersection of the east line of the north-
west quarter of the northwest quarter of Section 35, township
23 north, range 4 east, W.M., in King County, Washington, with
the center line of south 178th Street; thence easterly along said
center line to its intersection with the south line of the north
half of the berth north half of said section, which point of
intersection is approximately on the center line of 57th Avenue
South; thence east along said south line, which is also the
center line of South 180th Street, to an intersection of the
center line of South 180th Street and the east line of the west
20 acres of Government Lot 1 of said section, said point being
on the City Limits of the Town of Tukwila as set forth in Ordi-
nance No. 258 dated March 1, 1958; thence southerly along said

continuing along the thread of the River to the north -south
center line of said section 35; thence continuing along the
thread of the River to its intersection with the easterly
production of the north line of Government Lot 7 of said
section 35; thence west to the west bank of said River and
continuing westerly along the north line of said Government
Lot 7 to the easterly line of 57th Avenue South; thence
southerly along said easterly line to the south line of the
north 490.00 feet of the south half of the southwest quarter
of said section; thence west parallel with the north line of
the south half of the southwest quarter of said section to the
west line of said section; thence north along said west line
to the southeasterly line of Orillia Road Extension North;
thence northeasterly along said southeasterly line to the east
line of the west quarter of said section; thence north along
said east line to the point of beginning,
shall be and the same hereby is annexed to the Town of Tukwila.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
at a regular meeting thereof this day of ae 1982.
