ORDINANCE NO. Ic,
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA
PERMITTING DANCING AND /OR MUSIC IN
CABARETS BETWEEN 2:00 A.M. AND
8:00 A.M. ON MARCH 14, 1982
WHEREAS, The City of Tukwila now has a ban on dancing and
music in cabarets between the hours of 2:00 A.M. and 8:00 A.M.; and
WHEREAS, this ban prevents worthy non profit or charitable
organizations from conducting fund raising and other worthwhile
activities; and
WHEREAS, the Variety Club of the Pacific Northwest (Tent 46)
wishes to conduct a "Dance -A -Thon" at a cabaret in the City of
Tukwila exclusively for the purpose of raising funds for the
Children's Orthopedic Hospital and Medical Center in Seattle; and
WHEREAS, this Dance -A -Thon will be conducted on March 14, 1982
for a period of time extending between the hours of 2:00 A.M. and
8:00 A.M.; and
WHEREAS, the public interest and benefit would be served by
permitting dancing and music in cabarets in the City between the
hours of 2 :00 A.M. and 8:00 A.M. on March 14, 1982.
NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of Tukwila do
ordain as follows:
On March 14, 1982, it shall be lawful to maintain
and permit dancing or music on the premises of the cabaret
between the hours of 2:00 A.M. and 8:00 A.M.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL at a regular meeting thereof held
this day of j_�9. 1982.
