AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, FIXING THE AMOUNT OF TAX LEVIES NECESSARY TO RAISE FUNDS TO MEET THE ESTIMATED EXPENDITURES FOR THE YEAR 1982 AS REQUIRED BY RCW 35A.84; AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO CERTIFY SUCH BUDGET OR ESTIMATE OF THE AMOUNT TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION ON THE ASSESSED VALUATION OF THE PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Pursuant to the requirements of RCW 35A.84, the City of Tukwila shall annually certify to King County the amount of levies to be made in support of the City for the ensuing year in total and by individual fund. It is hereby certified that the estimated amount necessary to be raised by taxation is the sum of $1.774.754_ for the calendar year 1982 and said amount of tax levy is necessary to be levied upon the real and personal property subject to taxation in the City of Tukwila for the purpose of raising the necessary revenues for said City for the calendar year 1982, to wit: AMOUNT RATE Total Assessed Valuation 780,548,547 General Levy, All Funds 1,620,986 2.074 Special Levy -Golf Course Bonds 153,768 .197 TOTAL 1,774,754 2.271 The above certified tax levy may be subject to change or amendment if assessed valuation as certified by King County Assessor on October 6, 1981 proves to be in error and in such event the amended certified ordinance will be adopted and re -filed with the City Council. Section 2. The said taxes herein provided for are levied for the purpose of raising revenue sufficient to pay the principal and interest upon the general bonded indebtedness of the City of Tukwila, the General Fund, and for carrying on of the different departments of the municipal government of the City of Tukwila for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1982, and ending December 31, 1982; the final budget of the City of Tukwila is to be adopted and completed as specified by law. Section 3. That the taxes collected from the levies hereby fixed and made, together with the estimated revenues from sources other than taxa- tion which constitute the appropriations of the City of Tukwila for the fiscal year 1982 shall be so appropriated and so finally itemized and classified in the annual budget for the fiscal year 1982 to be adopted by the City of Tukwila as specified in Chapter 95, Laws of 1969, Extraordinary Session. Section 4. (2) District is entitled to maximum levy determined by 106% calculation or maximum statutory rate calculation, whichever is the lesser amount. (3) An omitted assessment is property value that should have been included on a prior years tax roll, but will be included on the current (1982) tax roll. Omits are assessed and taxed at the rate in effect for the year omitted. (RCW 84.40.080 RCW 84.40.085) For the purpose of ca siting levy rates, the tax a district will receive from omitted assessments is deducted fran the current levy amount. Omits will lie billed based on the anitted years rate and included as a current years tax receivable (4) Timber assessed value is at 80% of Timber Roll. (RCW 84.33.060) !Z'
