PERMIT CONDITIONS: 1: Work shall be installed in accordance with the approved construction documents, and any changes made during construction that are not in accordance with the approved construction documents shall be resubmitted for approval. 2: All permits, inspection record card and approved construction documents shall be kept at the site of work and shall be open to inspection by the Building Inspector until final inspection approval is granted. 3: All construction shall be done in conformance with the Washington State Building Code and the Washington State Energy Code. 4: Remove all demolition rubble and loose miscellaneous material from lot or parcel of ground, properly cap the sanitary sewer connections, and properly fill or otherwise protect all basements, cellars, septic tanks, wells, and other excavations. Final inspection approval will be determined by the building inspector based on satisfactory completion of this requirement. 5: All plumbing and gas piping work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the City of Tukwila Building Department (206-431-3670). 6: All electrical work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the City of Tukwila Permit Center. 7: VALIDITY OF PERMIT: The issuance or granting of a permit shall not be construed to be a permit for, or an approval of, any violation of any of the provisions of the building code or of any other ordinances of the City of Tukwila. Smoke detectors shall be labeled by an approved agency for air -duct installation and shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions. The roof consist of 24" and 30" deep TJI joists, that are spaced at roughly 48" o.c., spanning East to West. A 6-3/4x31-1/2 glulam beam is located at the mid -point of the tenant space spanning North to South supporting the roof joists. There are currently two 4.5 ton capacity HVAC units located on the roof just above the glulam beam (see sheet S-1 for exact locations) and each unit weighs roughly 470 pounds. Proposed: The owner is proposing to replace the existing HVAC units with two 7.5 ton capacity units. Each unit weighs 945 pounds (see attached spec sheet). The existing wood curbs on the roof currently supporting the HVAC units will remain and the new units will attach to the existing wood curbs. There will be a total of 475 pounds of additional load shared by four existing roof joists under the wood curb, which means each joist will carry additionally 119 pounds at each unit. Conclusion: Based on the fact that the TJI joists are 24" and 30" deep and by our engineering judgment, the existing roof joists are sufficient for carrying the above mentioned added loads. However, the 'o supporting the new HVAC units shall be reinforced by adding web stiffeners wood curb, see detail 2/S-1. New 2 x 6 members shall also be added around th detail 1/S-1.
