This sign permit application can be used to determine the total number of building mounted signs permitted for your business. The CVS Pharmacy is basically a sub -tenant within Target — is there any less formal creative way to move forward. This would be similar to having sub tenants within a grocery store (i.e., QFC/Safeway with Cinnabon or Alaska Federal Credit Union). If not what would your thoughts be on the variance process. The site and wall signs are facing the parking lot, not even the street directly so it is a tough one to explain to the customer. Feel free to give me a call to discuss. I'm referring to section 10.20.050 where it states: 2 19.20.050 Permanent Building -Mounted Signs in Commercial/Industrial Zones A. Flush -Mounted Building Signs (Wall Signs). 1. Each separate tenant suite with an exterior public entrance is permitted to have one flush -mounted building sign per exterior public entrance. In the MIC/H zone no more than one flush mounted wall sign shall be permitted per cardinal direction; regardless of the location of public entrances. 2. Buildings where multiple tenants share a common entrance may have one flush -mounted building sign per exterior public entrance. In this case, two tenants share a common entrance, but there is only one public entrance on this facade, so only one sign can be allowed. Please give me a call if you'd like to discuss further. Our current sign code only allows one building mounted sign per public entrance, so we can't allow a second sign on this facade. Perhaps it is possible that if the new sign were placed next to the Target sign, we could draw a box around both signs and measure it as one sign, but I'm not sure. In order to calcultate the allowed building signage, you would need to also provide us with the length and height dimensions of this facade. Please contact me with any questions.
