Dear Franks
We are returning to you under separate cover the above subject
plan which has been checked for conformance with the Uniform
Building Code and following are the comments of our plan checkers
1. Unobstructed yards as shown should be maintained on all sides
of the building for area purposes. Section 506.
2. Area above suspended ceilings is to be separated as per 3205 (b).
3. Exit doors, A -2 each and of corridor C -3 Line 14, should
swing in the direction of egress. Section 3303 (b).
4. Exit doors should provide immediate access to an approved
means of egress. Section 3303 (g). Exiting into or through
another room is not acceptable. See door C -3 at Conference Room.
5. Walls and ceilings of corridors should be of one -hour fire
resistive construction. Section 3304 (f). An architectural
section through the corridor is necessary to determine how this
is accomplished.
6. Interior openings into corridors should be protected as set
forth in Table No. 33 -8 and Section 3304 (g). See janitors closet..,
7. Enclosed usable space under interior stairways should be
protected on the enclosed side as required for one -hour fire
resistive construction. Section 3305 (1).
B. Exit signs should be provided in conformance with Section
3312 (b) (c).
9. An approved automatic fire extinguishing system in the build-
ing is required. Section 3801.
10.. Wet standpipes are required as specified in Sections 3805
and 3806.
