NOTE- ON ELEVATIONS
All elevations mentioned in this report refer to existing grade.
STRATI GRAPHY
The proposed Mobil Oil Station site is situated on alluvial flood
plain deposits of the Duwamish River. Foundation soils at the site of
the proposed sign consist of dar -grey, very dense, silty medium grained
sand overlain by 92 feet of grey, very soft clay containing peat inter
beds, 3 feet of greyish brown interbedded peat and sand, 22 feet of
brown, organic, silty fine sand and 311 feet of brown fine sand (Artificial
fill). The water -table was located 18 feet below grade, however minor
seepage was noted at approximately 8 feet.
STRUCTURAL NOTES
The natural soils overlying the dense basal sand found 182 feet
below grade are very soft and compressible. Undisturbed samples for
L it weight determinations. were not obtained, however, from previous
