AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
ESTABLISHING PROCEDURE FOR THE USE OF TEMPORARY
WATER METERS.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Temporary Water Meters are available on a rental basis
from the Public Works Department for the following rental deposit:
A. 3/4" 1" 75.00
B. 2 1/2" $100.00
Section 2.
A. Meters are to be used only for the designated project.
B. Meters are to be returned promptly upon completion of the
project or at the end of 60 days, whichever comes first.
C. Meters are to be returned in the same condition as when rented.
The user is responsible for meter damage and shall pay all
costs related to repair. Lost or stolen meters are the respon-
sibility of the renter and renter shall pay for the replacement.
Section 3. Meters may be moved from one hydrant to another within
the same project providing:
A. Water Department is notified in advance of proposed relocation.
B. Hydrant wrenches are used in making all connections -.and disconnections.
Section 4. Rates for water used through temporary meters are as
follows:
A. 3/4" 1" $25.00 plus water usage at the rate of 36¢ per 100 cu. ft.
B. 2 1/2" $50.00 plus water usage at the rate of 36¢ per 100 cu. ft.
Section 5. All refunds on temporary meter deposits will be made by
the Finance Director upon receipt of approved work order.
