Remote Meeting per Governor Proclamation 20-28 February 28, 2022 — 10:02 P.M.
SPECIAL MEETING
This meeting was conducted remotely, with the City Council, Mayor, and staff off-site and
participating via a remote electronic system.
All participants, including the Mayor, Councitmembers, City staff, and legal counsel were not
at Tukwila City Hall and participated via a remote electronic system.
The phone number for public participation that was provided via the agenda distribution
process was: 1-253-292-9750, access code 670077847# as well as a link to join the Microsoft
Teams Meeting.
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Ekberg called the remote Special Meeting of the Tukwila City Council to order at 10:02 p.m.
directly following the Committee of the Whole meeting.
ROLL CALL
Andy Youn, Deputy City Clerk, called the roll of the Council. Present at the virtual meeting were
Councilmembers Kathy Hougardy, De'Sean Quinn, Kate Kruller, Thomas McLeod, Cynthia Delostrinos
Johnson, Mohamed Abdi, Tosh Sharp.

CONSENT AGENDA
a. Approval of Minutes: 2/7/22 (Regular Mtg.); 2/14/22 (Special Mtg.)
b. Approval of Vouchers: February 22, 2022: #00400105; #00400185 in the amount of $1,777,177.59.
c. Authorize the Mayor to sign a grant agreement with Association of Washington Cities for the Summer
Experiences & Enrichment for Kids Fund in the amount of $281,440.00 (coming to the City).

d. Collective Bargaining Agreements:
I ) Authorize the Mayor to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the International Association of
Firefighters (IAFF) Local #2088 to extend the current Labor Contract (#19-191) through 12/31/2023.
2) Authorize the Mayor to sign a collective bargaining agreement with the Police Commanders,
Teamsters Local #117, for 2022-2023.
3) Authorize the Mayor to sign a collective bargaining agreement with the Police Sergeants, Teamsters
Local #117, for 2022-2024.
4) Authorize the Mayor to sign a collective bargaining agreement for non-commissioned Police staff,
United Steelworkers Local #9241, for 2022-2024.
e. A resolution to re-establish the titles, duties, and schedule of the standing City Council Committees
for 2022, and repealing Resolution No. 2040. RESOLUTION NO. 2044.

MOVED BY HOUGARDY, SECONDED BY MCLEOD THAT THE CONSENT AGENDA BE APPROVED
AS SUBMITTED. MOTION CARRIED 7-0.
