Sound Transit has filed applications for an Unclassified Use Permit and Design Review
approval for a permanent Tukwila Commuter Rail Station on their property located at
7301 Longacres Way in Tukwila. The site is generally bounded by Longacres Way on
the north, Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) railroad on the east, Strander
Boulevard, when extended, on the south, and Union Pacific railroad on the west. The
project will consist of two 600 foot platforms with covered shelters, a 390 stall parking
lot; a bus transit loading, unloading and waiting area; handicap accessible loading and
unloading area; a kiss and ride area, bicycle parking, and public art and landscaping.
Land Use Activity File Numbers are: L12 -002- Unclassified Use; L12 -003 Design
Review
Studies available with the applications are: Geotechnical, Stormwater and State
Environmental (SEPA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Reports.

OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC COMMENT
Your comments on the project are requested. Attend an open house /public meeting at
the temporary Tukwila Station, 7301 Longacres Way, on Tuesday 13 March 2012 from
3:30 p.m. 6:30 p.m.
