HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 1177 - Transfers Within Budget for Goods and Services (Repealed by Ord 1319)ORDINANCE NO 1177 REPEALED BY 1319 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1166 RELATING TO TRANSFERS WITHIN THE ANNUAL BUDGET, PROVIDE FOR AUTHORITY TO CONTRACT OR PURCHASE GOODS AND SERVICES AND RELATING TO PURCHASE OF UNBUDGETED FIXED ASSET ITEMS. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Ordinance No. 1166 is hereby amended as follows: Section 1. Pursuant to RCW 35A.33.120, transfers within the- bask- ebjeets a Department or Division of the separate funds of the annual budget shall be by formal motion of the City Council. Re- quest for transfers shall be made in writing to the Mayor by the depart- ment head seeking the transfer. If the Mayor approves, he shall present the request to the City Council for action. Section 2. No salary shall be increased above the amount pro- vided therefore in the annual budget and specified in the adopted salary plan of the City. Section 3. When provided for in the annual budget, the Mayor is authorized to call for bids on public works projects or procure goods or professional services when the project or procurement does not exceed $25,000. Section 4. Any unbudgeted capital equipment or fixed asset item, including components or series of items, in excess of $1,000 in cost shall be approved by the City Council prior to purchase and, if necessary, shall include a recommendation, if approved by the Mayor, for budget transfer.
