REPEALED BY 1274
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
REGULATING THE SIZE OF SIGNS AND AUTHORIZING THE
PLANNING COMMISSION TO APPROVE EXTRAORDINARY SIGNS
AND AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 773, SECTION 011, PARA-
GRAPH 7.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
That Section 011, Paragraph 7 of Ordinance 773, is amended
as follows:
7. Commercial use areas, except regional shopping centers
(use areas C -PR) and service station uses, where signs
are located across street from or abut other commercial
use areas or industrial use areas.
A. (1) Signs on faces of Building Unless otherwise pro-
vided herein, one sign is permitted for either each
street on which the property fronts or each street from
which an improved vehicular access is available.
The area of signs on each building face shall be as follows:

(2) Buildings may utilize two or more signs providing the
additional signs or signing is approved by the Planning
Commission and is within the maximum total permitted sign
area as set forth in the Table in Paragraph A. (1) above.
(3) Where buildings house more than one tenant, the
sign area on the building allotted to each tenant shall
be uniform. Office buildings with multiple tenancies
shall only be identified by the official name of the
building, and internal directories shall be used to
identify the individual tenants.
(4) One free standing sign per building shall be allowed,
except when buildings are supportive to the principal
activity of a business where signs are allowed only for
the principal use, unless specifically permitted by the
Planning Commission. The total area of all the faces of
this sign shall not exceed two times the area given in
the table set forth in paragraph A (1) above.
