City of Opportunity
Scholarship is now available
Since 2014, the City of Tukwila has offered a
scholarship program for high school students
living in Tukwila. Its purpose: to help deserving
students continue their education beyond high
school by providing financial assistance and
opportunity. We are currently accepting
applications from those enrolled for
undergraduate study in community colleges,
colleges, trade schools and universities.
Selection criteria include residency in Tukwila,
academic accomplishments, community service,
references, financial need, and personal essay.

The deadline to submit scholarship applications
is March 31, 2022. For more information,

United Way of King County's Free Tax Preparation Campaign will run
from Wednesday, February 2 to Thursday, April 21. Their IRS -certified
volunteers will be available virtually and in person at multiple locations
across King County to offer you free tax preparation assistance.
For your safety, all in-person tax preparers will be fully vaccinated and
masked. All taxpayers who need assistance must show proof of
vaccination and be masked at all times during any in-person
meetings. Please see the FAQ for information that you are required to
provide.

looking for a way to avoid paying any fees? Then MyFreeTaxes.com is for
you! Use the same tax preparation software their volunteers do to file
your taxes, all at absolutely no cost to you!

available at the Tukwila Library
Need a COVID-19 vaccine or booster shot? Visit a vaccine clinic at the
Tukwila Library in February and March. The vaccine is free and available
regardless of insurance, citizenship or immigration status. More info
