The Commission provided input to City staff regarding outreach, particularly for Tukwila’s immigrant and refugee communities, the Commission would like to see the th Fort Dent 4of July Fireworks annual event be brought back to the City. Niesha Fort-Brooks, Community Engagement Manager presented to the Commission on the City of Tukwila Community Leadership Initiative Program (formally known as the Community Connector program.) The Commission inquired about outreach efforts and commended the City for the community collaboration. Commissioners discussed individual capacity for the Juneteenth celebration and availability.
