• Minutes for August 13, 2020 meeting were approved
• Chief's update:
o Staffing: Freezing eight officer positions and two non -officer positions. Two officers are in
the academy and one in the field training program. Chief Linton announced his retirement
effective 10/1/20. Deputy Chief Eric Dreyer will be the interim Chief until the Mayor
makes a selection of a permanent Chief.
o Justice Center: PD and Court received the keys to the building. Move is expected the later
part of September.
o Law Enforcement Training and Community Safety Act (LETCSA): Chief Linton would like
Deputy Chief Dreyer to provide a presentation at the next meeting.
• Continuation of Q&A on use -of -force review discussion — Chief Linton continued the discussion
which are provided in the attached document.
• Good off the order
o Jan thanked police and fire departments for diaper donations
o Everyone thanked Chief Linton for his service and wished him well.
