The Council Work Session consisted of the following:
Presentation of the Report Findings of the Wage Benefit Analysis of
Non Represented Positions of the City of Tukwila
as Conducted by Ross Ardrey of NW Management Consulting, Inc.
Welcome Opening Comments
Council President Seal welcomed eveivone to the Work Session. She stated that since this is a Work Session and
time is limited, there will not be an opportunity for public comment. Additionally_ Councilmembers were asked
to hold questions until after Mr. Ardrev's presentation.
Introduction Overview
Mayor Haggerton introduced the subject of the Work Session, and provided a brief background relative to the
issue of non represented salaries which was removed from a Council agenda in 2011.
Presentation of Renortinti Finding
Ross Ardrey of NW Management Consulting, Inc. gave a brief ovenriesw of his report and findings regarding a
swage and benefit analysis he conducted regarding non represented positions at the City of Tukwila. The scope of
the swork he conducted was based on an RFP which was issued by the City.
The purpose of conducting this research was to determine if the City of Tukwila's Non Represented Employees'
Compensation Plan is valid. The reports and finding validate the Citv's current Plan.
Clarifvinq Ouestions Discussion
The Council asked clariffi-ing questions of Mr. Ardev in regards to his report and findings. After discussion, there
was Council consensus that this item should return to the Finance Safety Committee for finther discussion,
consideration and recommendation, as appropriate. It was determined that this discussion should begin at the
Finance Safety Committee meeting on Tuesday, March 20, 2012.
