Special Meeting
July 11, 2022 — 8:46 P.M.
SPECIAL MEETING
This meeting was conducted both on-site at Tukwila City Hall and virtually via Microsoft Teams.

CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Ekberg called the Special Meeting of the Tukwila City Council to order at 8:46 p.m. directly
following the Committee of the Whole meeting.
ROLL CALL
Andy Youn, Deputy City Clerk, called the roll of the Council. Present at the meeting were
Councilmembers Kathy Hougardy (on-site), Kate Kruller (on-site), Thomas McLeod (on-site), Cynthia
Delostrinos Johnson (on-site), Mohamed Abdi (on-site), Tosh Sharp (on-site).
MOVED BY KRULLER, SECONDED BY MCLEOD TO EXCUSE COUNCILMEMBER QUINN FROM
THE MEETING. MOTION CARRIED 6-0.

Director; Andrew Tsoming, Assistant City Attorney; Jay Wittwer, Fire Chief; Norm Golden, Deputy Fire

CONSENT AGENDA
a. Approval of Minutes: 6/27/22 (Special Mtg.)
b. Approval of Vouchers: #00400918-00400986 in the amount of $2,115,305.63.
MOVED BY HOUGARDY, SECONDED BY ABDI TO APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA AS
SUBMITTED. MOTION CARRIED 6-0.
EXECUTIVE SESSION — Potential Litigation — Pursuant to RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) (15 minutes)
Mayor Ekberg announced the Council will now go into an Executive Session to discuss:
Potential Litigation — Pursuant to RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) (15 minutes)
The total amount of time will be no more than 15 minutes, and no decisions will be made during the
Executive Session. No action will be required in the Open Meeting after the Executive Session has
concluded.
He declared the meeting adjourned as of the conclusion of the Executive Session. The Executive Session
will not be extended beyond the announced time, and they will not be returning to open session to
adjourn or for any other reason.
8:47 p.m. Mayor Ekberg declared a brief recess.

9:00 p.m. Adjournment occurred at the conclusion of the Executive Session.
