We'd like your feedback on the upcoming 2023/23 Biennial Budget Mayor Ekberg and the City Council are still looking for community feedback on the City’s upcoming 2023/2024 biennial budget. We are providing an opportunity for you – Tukwila’s residents, businesses and other stakeholders – to express your priorities on how the budget is spent. We have developed a short video to provide information on the projected budget for 2023 and 2024. You can find the video and several interactive ways to engage in this year’s biennial budget process at our website: TukwilaWa.gov/budgetoutreach. Here are some details on how you can get involved: • Take a quick survey to give us your top service priorities and whether you think City services should be reduced or new revenues raised to deal with the projected budget shortfall. • You can take a deeper dive into the budgeting process using the new tool Balancing Act, where you will be able to provide detailed feedback on how we should balance the budget: TukwilaWA.gov/BYB • Visit with City staff at upcoming community events on July 27 to specifically talk budget (or whatever else is on your mind): • Tukwila Village Farmers Market (4pm – 7pm) | Wednesday, July 27.
