REPEALED BY 1560
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
RELATING TO THE COMPOSITION OF MEMBERSHIP OF THE
TUKWILA PLANNING COMMISSION AND AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. 1112, SECTION 1 AND TMC 2.36.010 TO ESTABLISH
CONDITIONS OF RESIDENCY.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1112 establishes the City Planning
Commission and prescribes the duties and procedures to which members
of that Commission are bound, and
WHEREAS, said Ordinance is silent on the matter of residency
within the City limits as a qualification for service on the Planning
Commission, and
WHEREAS, the business community of Tukwila has contributed
significantly to the evolution of the City's unique character within
the greater Puget Sound region, and
WHEREAS, it seems fitting and proper to provide the opportunity
for service on said commission to non resident members of the City's
business community.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
That Ordinance No. 1112, Section 1 (TMC 2.36.010) is amended
as follows:
Section 1. Created Membership. Pursuant to the authority
conferred by Chapter 35A.63 of Ch. 119, Laws of 1967, Ex.
Sess., as amended by Ch. 81, Laws of 1969, Ex. Sess., there
is created a city planning commission, consisting of seven
members who shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by
the City Council. At least five (5) of the seven commission
members shall reside within the corporate limits of the City
of Tukwila as those corporate limits exist on the day of that
member's appointment to said commission. No more than two (2)
persons who reside outside the City of Tukwila corporate limits
may be appointed to the Planning Commission as representatives
of the Tukwila business community.
