AN ORDINhNICE AMENDING THE 1980 BUDGET AS ADOPTED BY
ORDINANCE NO. 1139 AND AUTHORIZING A SEWER FUND CON
TRIBUTION TO VARIOUS SEWER PROJECTS AND SEWER RELATED
LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICTS (LID'S) IN ORDER TO REPAY
INELIGIBLE EPA /DOE GRANT COSTS.
WHEREAS, the City entered into an EPA /DOE Grant agreement during
1971 for the construction of sewer interceptors, lift stations and force mains, and
WHEREAS, a final audit of the grant claim has been completed, and
WHEREAS, the final audit results require this city to make a re-
fund of $15,590 for ineligible grant costs, and
WHEREAS, a residual of $9,917 remains in the Water /Sewer Construction
Fund applicable for such refund, and
WHEREAS, $462 is available in LID 19 and $467 is available in
LID 20, and
WHEREAS, an additional $4,744 is needed to pay the full $15,590
refund due, and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to expedite any
LID project refunds due to the time period passed since the finalization of the
LIDS, and
WHEREAS, the criteria for establishing eligible costs applicable �
to the LID has changed from the time of construction to the time of audit and
the audit must be conducted according to the current criteria.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. A refund for the ineligible EPA /DOE Grant costs is
hereby authorized for the following projects:

Section 3. The Mayor is directed to obtain reimbursement for
ineligible costs from the developers wherever possible in the case of projects
shown in Section 1 of this ordinance.
