Chief’s Updates:
Acting Chief Dale Rock provided updates on:
• Staffing
• Night Out Against Crime
• Recruitment
• Mall area
• Speed cameras
• Major crimes
• Cars on Interurban
Discussion Topic:
Talked about the importance of Narcan being available to anyone who might likely encounter someone in a drug
crisis. Wondered about how to get some for Jan Bolerjack and the RPUMC property. Defibrillator is also needed
there.
Word on the Street
Topics included:
• Chief’s Community Council – what is this? How is it different than COPCAB?
• Chief’s Town Halls for community input – possibly early September
• Appreciation for police’s quick responses to a couple of needs recently at RPUMC

• City Advisory Committee at RPUMC for Tiny Home Village project – would love to have a police
rep on the committee
• Transit Center/Light Rail – constant problem – owned by Metro, policed by TPD
