AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, TO PROHIBIT
THE PARKING OF COMMERCIAL VEHICLES IN
RESIDENTIAL AREAS
The City Council of the City of Tukwila do ordain as fol-
lows:
Section 1:
Definitions: For purposes of this Ordinance:
a. "Commercial vehicle" shall mean (a) any truck over
8 thousand pounds gross vehicle weight, the principal use of
which is the transportation of commodities, merchandise, pro-
duce, frieght or animals; or (b) bulldozers, cranes, and simi-
lar construction equipment.
b. "Residential Area shall mean any district which is
zoned R -1, R -2, R -3, R -4, RMH, or any other zoning classifica-
tion which is primarily residential, by the City of Tukwila.
Section 2:
Conduct Prohibited. No person shall park a commercial ve-
hicle upon any street, alley, or driveway in a residential district,
except (a) while
loading or unloading, (b) when necessary to avoid conflict with
other traffic or in compliance with law or the directions of a
peace officer or a traffic control device, or (c) in order to make
non recurrinci.repai
Section 3:
Penalty. Any person violating shall, upon conviction thereof,
be punished by a fine of not more than 500 and /or

imprisonment for not more than 90 days
Section 4:
Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect on
