combustible liquid spill. We arrived on scene at 1542 hours and cleared at 1601 hours.
The incident occurred at 5600 S 176 St, Tukwila in District 006. The local station is ST51.
The general description of this property is street. No mutual/automatic aid was given or
received.
Alarm number 0001110 has been assigned to this incident.
Upon arrival found that vehicles attempting to travel up S 176 St, heading west, were
getting approximately halfway up the hill and then were loosing traction due to a spilled
oil on the roadway. Blocked off the roadway at the bottom of the hill and requested a
sanding truck from the city shops. Sanding truck arrived and sanded the westbound lane
which solved the traction problem.
Returned.
Spilled product seemed to be either motor oil or transmission fluid that had been spread
from unknown vehicle leaking the product as it traveled.
