Three orals were assigned to this incident Six personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 0440 hours and cleared at 0605 hours. The incident occurred at 2800 S 132 St, Seatac in District O/J. The local station is ST54. The general description of this property is residential street, road or residential driveway. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel were hazardous materials leak control and containment. Mutual aid was given on this incident. Alann number 0001575 has been assigned to this incident. Tukwila PD requested assistance for unknown chemicals found in a car following a traffic stop. The car stopped one block into the City of Seatac. The suspect told the police officer the material was "ephedrine and alcohol". The visible material in a glass jar appeared to be a white substance on the bottom with a clear liquid separated above. Another container was a thermos -type container with a clear liquid. Also on the floor was a glass pipe, a paper or cloth filter type material (the size of a coffee filter), and a small propane bottle. Advised TPD that this was possibly drug lab material and should be handled by a drug lab team. TPD requested WSP drug team, but they were unable to respond. On TPD request, we packaged the two containers containing liquid into separate 5 gallon poly pails with rice hull ash to cushion and absorb any leakage. The containers were then left in the vehicle for impound and processing by TPD. The Seatac fire command officer was later notified of the incident by phone, as they were not involved in the incident.
