One unit was to this ' den Sunpro, Inc. FireRMS 5.0 Version: 2.0.25 assign mci t Three personnel responded. We amved on scene at 1311 hours and cleared at 1317 hours. The incident occurred at 3719 S 150 St, Tukwila in District 011. The local station is ST54. The general description of this property is multifamily dwelling. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel were hazardous materials leak control and containment. Upon our arrival we found an old propane tank, (that was from a vehicle) lying on its side, with the valve partially open, leaking gas into the atmosphere. We simply closed the valve and stopped the leak. Out investigation found the owner to be Mr. Wang. With PD by my side, we attempted to contact Mr. Wang. He was not home, but his wife was. She called him at work for me. I spoke to him and advised him of the situation. He reported to me that kids in the area were playing around it the day before, and that one of them probably opened it. I then told him the tank needs to be properly stored, or removed from the property. He said he did not want the tank, and asked me what he should do with it. I simply informed him to contact the place he bought the car from and see if they want it, or contact a hazardous materials disposal company and have them take it away.
