At 0929 hours on Friday January 12, 2001 we were dispatched to a fuel bumer/boiler
malfunction. Four units were assigned to this incident. We arrived on scene at 0933 hours
and cleared at 1003 hours. The incident occurred at 15241 51 Av S, Tukwila in District
012. The general description of this property is 1 or 2 family dwelling. No
mutual/automatic aid was given or received.
Alarm number 0000132 has been assigned to this incident.

Narratives
ON ARRIVAL E53 FOUND BLACK SMOKE CZ:IMMING FROM THE CHIMNEY OF
THE DOUSE. WHEN E53 INVESTIGATED WE FOUND THAT THE OIL
FURNANCE HAD OVERLOADED ITS SELF WITH FUEL OIL. THE ACCESS OIL
HAD IGNITED AND WAS SMOLDERING IN THE FURNACE FIRE BOX. WE SHUT
OFF THE FURNACE AND CODE GREENED ALL ARRIVING UNITS. E53
CHECKED FOR EXTENSION TO THE ATTIC AND THE REST OF THE HOUSE. WE
FOUND NO EXTENSION.
E53 TOLD THE OCCUPANTS NOT TO RESTART THE FURNANCE UNTIL IT
COULD BE CHECKED BY A FURNANCE REPAIR TECK. THEY ASKED IF I
COULD HELP THEM OBTAIN ONE. I CONTACTED A FURNACE COMPANY
FOR THEM. WE CHECKED ONE MORE TIME TO BE SURE THE CHIMNEY HAD
COOLED DOWN, THAM WENT INTO SERVICE AND RETURNED TO QUARTERS
