Sunpro, Inc. FireRMS 5.0 Version: 2.0.25 Three units were assigned to this incident. Six personne l responded. We arrived on scene at 2256 hours and cleared at 2351 hours. The incident occurred at 18600 76 Av S, Kent in District O/J. The local station is ST51. The general description of this property is railroad right of way. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel were to identify and analyze hazardous materials. Other special haz mat actions were also taken. Mutual aid was given on this incident. Alarm number 0000248 has been assigned to this incident. Dispatched to a reported argon gas leak by railroad personnel. Upon arrival did not find a train at S 180 St but could see one south of this location that was now heading northbound to S 180 St. Started to walls to the train and it now reversed and went south. Caught up with the train and I asked the Engineer if the railroad had called us. Engineer directed me to the conductor. The conductor states that yes he had called. He states that further south is a leaking tank car. He states that he walked through the cloud and that he feels fine. Another railroad employee arrives and we head south to the leaking car. The train and first employees contacted leave the scene. This incident location is in Kent so Fire One tones out Kent units. We find the leaking tank car and find a vapor cloud coming off of the top of the car and drifting down the side and slowly moving to the west. We walk down a siding to the east and up at Kings Command Meats. Kent Fire units meet me at this location. Railroad personnel produce a bill of lading which shows the tank car to be argon shipped as a cryogenic. Vapor has now stopped. The tank car keeps venting on and off at about five minute intervals and then lasting for two to three minutes. There are a total of three tank cars with one showing the name of the Liquid Aire Corp. Advise Kent Fire as to what we have found and they decide that all Tukwila units can • ~ot- oz48 Incident History for: #TF01000239 CN: $TF01000248 Xref: #KF01000735 Received 01/21/01 Entered 01/21/01 Dispatched 01/21/01 Enroute Onscene Closed 01/21/01 01/21/01 01121/01 22:49:34 BY CR03 /VC2428 22:49:34 BY CR03 /VC2428 22:49:50 BY FD21 /JOSEPH 22:51:19 22:56:45 23:51:41 Initial Type: HZLEAK Initial Alarm Level: 1 Final Type: HZLEAK (HAZD CHEMICAL SPILL LEAK (2A)) Pri: 2 Dispo: Police TP1200 Fire TF5136 Group: T9 Beat: Police Ras: - Fire Ras: Medic Ras: Loc: 01 BN RR ,KEN near S 180/7600 BLK Ease: MCPHERREN.JUSTIN/EMP Addr: /2249 VC2428 CR03 ENTRY /2249 CR03 $ASNCAS /2249 JOSEPH FD21 /2249 FD21 /2249 FD21 Airs Phone: 2066256270 BN RR CALLING TO ADVISE THEY HAVE A CAR VE NTING ARGON VAPOR CREATING HAZE HOVERING A BOVE THE GROUND... $TF01000248 DISP E51 *TF2016 #TF0739 #TF0001 #TF9874 ASST HM52 #TF9526 #TF0001 *TF0002 *TF0003 *TF0004 #TF0005 ASST TFINFO #TFINFO #TFINV TXT: RP /2250 VC2428 CR03 SUPP /2250 CR03 SUPP /2251 TF2016 E51 *ENROUT E51 /2252 VC2428 CR03 SUPP /2253 JOSEPH FD21 /2254 VC2428 CR03 /2256 JOSEPH FD21 /2257 /230.1 /2301 /2302 FD21 FD21 FD21 FD21 ENROUT HM52 SUPP ONSCNE E51 MCFARLAND.
