At 1717 hours on Monday June 25, 2001 we were dispatched to a gasoline or other
flammable liquid spill. One unit was assigned to this incident. Three personnel responded.
We arrived on scene at 1721 hours and cleared at 1935 hours. The incident occurred at
130 Andover Pk E, Tukwila in District 005. The local station is ST51. The general
description of this property is vehicle parking area. The primary task(s) performed at the
scene by responding personnel was hazard removal. No mutual/automatic aid was given

Alarm number 0002100 has been assigned to this incident.
E-51 was called to a report of gasoline leaking from a vehicles fuel tank. Upon arrival
found that a company van from All Brite Painting was parked on the eastside of 130
Andover Pk E at the lower level. The vehicle was parked nose into the building and had a
moderate rate drip leak from the fuel tank. Probably one quart of fuel had leaked from the
fuel tank. Attempted to reach someone from the All Brite Painting Co. through the
answering service and they could not get a reply from any employee. Contacted Insp 510
and discussed having the vehicle impounded but they there is the problem of the leaking
fuel. Decided to pump off part of the fuel tank using the Hazmat air operated pump and
pumping into an overpack drum. Pumped off approx twelve gallons. This reduced the
leak to a slow drip. Could not get the siphon tube in any further to lower the level more.
Picked the door lock on the van and pushed it around so that it is now parked with the
front uphill and away from the building. Did make contact with the owners wife, Jaice
McClaskey, later. She attempted to locate an employee to move the van but they could
not locate a key for the van. This is when we pushed it around. Fuel leak is at the sending
unit cap in the front of the tank. Fuel line is leaking where is goes through this cap. Tank
will need repair before van is placed back into regular service. Took fuel in the overpack
drum back to station 51.
