mveshgauun with no hazmat. One unit was assigned to th>s mcident. Three personnel
responded. We arrived on scene at 1501 hours and cleared at 1509 hours. The incident
occurred at 1160 Saxon Dr, Tukwila in District 005. The local station is ST51. The
general description of this property is general retail. The primary task(s) performed at the
scene by responding personnel was investigation. No mutual/automatic aid was given or
received.
Alarm number 0002181 has been assigned to this incident.
Norman Peterson, manager, at Costco called because the employees in the pharmacy were
complaining of an irritating odor that tasted like metal and made them dizzy They are
currently having a problem with drainage (sewage) coming up through a two foot by two
foot access plate in the floor of the pharmacy. They have it taped off but it is still leaking
out. They had Roto Rooter out to fix it but Roto Rooter states that this needs to be
pumped out and they do not do pumping. Pump truck scheduled for tomorrow AM.
Anyhow they have already made the decision to close the pharmacy so that employess are
not working in this area. They were finishing up orders and will be out in about ten
minutes. We could not detect an odor during our time there but we were in the pharmacy
only a few minutes. Pharmacy will not be reopened until the drain problem is fixed.
E-51 in service- returning.
