At 1246 hours on Monday July 9, 2001 we were dispatched to an oil or other combustible
liquid spill. One unit was assigned to this incident. Three personnel responded. We arrived
on scene at 1255 hours and cleared at 1308 hours. The incident occurred at 13435
Interurban Av S, Tukwila in District 010. The local station is ST52. The general
description of this property is service station, gas station. The primary task(s) performed
at the scene by responding personnel was removal of hazardous materials. No
mutual/automatic aid was given or received.
Dispatched to fuel spill at Pacific Pride. Upon arrival found AMR AMB on location as
reporting party. AMR had shut off pumps using the emergency fuel pump shut off.
Investigation found nozzle on pump #11 slave was stuck on at a very low rate. Estimate
1-2 gallon spill. Shut off nozzle, used rice hull ash to clean up spill, turned pumps back on
and had employee from fuel company respond. Returned in service.
Alarm number 0002273 has been assigned to this incident.
