flammable liquid spill. One unit was assigned to this incident. Two personnel responded.
We arrived on scene at 1344 hours and cleared at 1357 hours. The incident occurred at
351 Strander Bl, Tukwila in District 004. The local station is ST51. The general
description of this property is vehicle parking area. The primary task(s) performed at the
scene by responding personnel were hazardous materials spill control and confinement. No
mutual/automatic aid was given or received.
This alarm was generated by the spill of gasoline that was caused by a electronically
controlled transfer valve being left on. The vehicle involved was a large pick-up truck and
the larger tank in the bed was transferring fuel to the smaller stock tank while the driver
was shopping. Approximately 3-5 gallons of product was spilled on the ground and it was
absorbed with rice hull ash. The third department member that was assigned to E-51 was
Probationary Firefighter Mike Finley. He is not yet logged into this program.
Alarm number 0002379 has been assigned to this incident.
