oil/anit-freeze that was left in front of the NAPA Auto Parts Store (14013 Pacific Hy S)
sometime last night.
I told FIRE ONE that the Department of Ecology should be called for pickup. Further
information from the RP stated that the container(s) where not secure, and the RP did not
want them left at his business. At this point, I directed FIRE ONE to start an incident, and
we would go investigate to make sure the proper disposition was reached.
On arrival, was met by Mark Bystrek, store manage/RP, who had moved the containers
from the street into the back of a semi -secured vehicle on the property.
In the vehicle were two plastic containers (similar to a one gallon milk jug and a two
gallon water jug) containing a green liquid, similar in appearance to anti -freeze, and a

30 -gallon (?) "rubbermaid" storage tub (no lid) that was about 3/4 full of a liquid similar in
smell to diesel oil.
As the containers were secured inside the vehicle, and no immediate hazard existed (and
transport to the Station 51 DOE pickup area was unreasonable due to spill potential); I
gave Mr. Bystrek the phone number for DOE (425-649-7000) and told him to call and
arrange for DOE to come pick up the materials. 1 also left my name and Station 54's phone
number in case had anyfiuther questions or encountered any difficulty arranging a
pickup.
