Narrative Text At 2133 hours on Tuesday October 9, 2001 we were dispatched to an oil or other
combustible liquid spill. One unit was assigned to this incident. Three personnel
responded. We arrived on scene at 2137 hours and cleared at 2146 hours. The incident
occurred at 14014 42 Av S, Tukwila in District 11. The local station is ST54. The general
description of this property is 1 or 2 family dwelling. The primary task(s) performed at the
scene by responding personnel was investigation. No mutual/automatic aid was given or
received.
Alarm number 0003377 has been assigned to this incident.
Homeowner was removing old oil furnace, bent a copper pipe wihich leaked less than a
gallon of liquid. Pipe appears to be from abandoned fuel oil supply, was no longer leaking
upon our inspection. Advised homeowner to have the pipe properly sealed, check to see if
old oil tank was removed or abandoned safely, open windows in area of spill for
ventilation.
