flammable liquid spill. One unit was assigned to this incident. Three personnel responded.
We arrived on scene at 1455 hours and cleared at 1504 hours. The incident occurred at
1160 Saxon Dr, Tukwila in District 005. The local station is ST51. The general
description of this property is service station, gas station. The primary task(s) performed
at the scene by responding personnel was removal of hazardous materials. No
mutual/automatic aid was given or received.
Alarm number 0003555 has been assigned to this incident.
Dispatched to a reported spill of twenty gallons of gasoline at the Costco fueling station.
Upon arrival found two fueling lanes to be closed and employees were busy cleaning up
the fuel spill. Manager states that approx four to five gallons of gasoline had been spilled
onto the ground. Customer vehicle had just been at the repair shop for work on the fuel
tank and the shop had not reconnected the filler tube to the fuel tank. Vehilce had been
pushed away from the fuel pumps. Employees had used five absorbant pads and then
were spraying a hydrocarbon cleanup solution on the area. The cleaning solution takes
away the flamability and breaks down the fuel so that it can be washed down the storm
drain. Employees sprayed and brushed the area. We washed down the area with a booster
line.
E-51 in service- returning.
