At 0935 hours on Saturday December 29, 2001 we were dispatched to a hazmat release
investigation with no hazmat. One unit was assigned to this incident. We arrived on scene
at 0939 hours and cleared at 1001 hours. The incident occurred at 12800 EAST
MARGINAL Way S, Tukwila in District 007. The general description of this property is
street or road in commercial area. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by
responding personnel were hazardous materials leak control and containment. No
mutual/automatic aid was given or received.
Alarm number 0004286 has been assigned to this incident.
E53 FOUND A TRAIL OF DIESEL FUEL STARTING AT 10200 BLK. OF EAST
MARGINAL WY TO THE 12800 BLK OF EAST MARGINAL WY S . IT WAS A
NARROW STREAM OF 4 TO 6 INCHS. THE TRAIL LEAD TO BECKER TRUCKING
PARKING LOT.
INVESTIGATION SHOWED THAT IT CAME FRON THE CROSS FIEED ON A
SEMI , BELONGING TO BECKER TRUCKING. LICENSE PLATE 66435-R WASH.
THERE WAS NO FUEL LEAKING BECAUSE THE CROSS VALVE HAD BEEN
CLOSED.
BECKER TRUCKING WAS TAKING CARE OF LEAK AND FUEL ON THE
GROUND. E53 PLACED RICEALL ASH ON THE SMALL PUDDEL AT THE HEAD
OF THE DRINVE WAS.E53 RETURNED TO QUARTERS.
