E53 was dispatched to a possible diesel spill into a stream. On arrival a very lite sheen was
observed in the stream. Troy Wallin (206)714-9064) was the reporting party. He stated
there was a spill of diesel two days prior leading into Becker Trucking. Tukwila Fire had
responded to that prior spill. This was the first day of heavy rain since that spill. The
Becker Trucking parking area was searched for spilled diesel. No spill was found or
residue from prior spill. Mr. Wallin stated that he called 911 so the fire department would
document that a sheen was spotted on the stream and it appeared to start at Becker
Trucking. No sheen was spotted prior to Becker Trucking, only down stream from the
trucking yard.
