At 2300 hours on Wednesday January 9, 2002 we were dispatched to a gas leak. Two
Tukwila and one Seatac units were assigned to this incident. Nine personnel responded.
We arrived on scene at 2304 hours and cleared at 2352 hours. The incident occurred at
14005 42 Av S, Tukwila in District 11. The local station is ST54. The general description
of this property is residential. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding
personnel was to refer to proper authority. Automatic aid was given on this incident.
Alarm number 0000096 has been assigned to this incident.
Report of gas bubbling from the ground. Found several holes and cracks in trailer court
driveway in which frothy bubbling was noted, occasional smell of mercaptan odorant.
Requested PSE to investigate for natural gas leak. Upon arrival, PSE determined it was a
natural gas leak, and would continue checking for source, would make repairs immediately
or next day depending on severity of problem.
