Six amts were assigned to this mcident. Thuteen personne responded. We arrived on scene at 1640 hours and cleared at 1746 hours. The incident occurred at 16300 West Valley Hy, Tukwila in District 005. The local station is ST51. The general description of this property is restaurant or cafeteria. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. Mutual aid was received on this incident. This alarm was reported initially by Valley Com as an extemal odor investigation. Prior to our arrival it was upgraded by dispatch to a five person MCI. The patients consisted of seven employees of the Wendy's Restaurant and three customers. The employees reported that an unidentified person approached the drive through window and then ran from the area. All occupants then reported that they felt irritation to the eyes and throat. All of the patients reported immediate improvement when removed to a fresh air environment. They were evaluated by South King County Medics who were assigned to Medic 5. Patient information can be found on King County -BLS Incident Report Form #608680. It is dated 02/18/02 and can also be identified by this incident (#02-0519)They were all released to themselves and advised to seek medical attention if any abnormal symptoms were to occur. Engine 52's crew ran atmospheric testing with the APD2000 and found no indications of contaminants in the air. They were protected by standard structural PPE and SCBA. They made entry at 1702 HRS and exited the building at 1713 HRS. No atmospheric contaminants could be detected. They removed their SCBA's and could not detect any irritants through the utilization of their olfactory senses. The building was ventilated through means of natural horizontal ventilation and re -occupation was allowed.
