Two units were assigned to this incident. Five personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 0530 hours and cleared at 0600 hours. The incident occurred at 12608 INTERURBAN Ave S, Tukwila in District 001. The general description of this property is business office. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel were hazardous materials leak control and containment. Other special haz mat actions were also taken. No mutualautomatic aid was given or received. Alarm number 0000845 has been assigned to this incident. E53 AND A54 WERE DISPATCHED TO A REPORTED AMMONIA LEAK INVOLVING PD. ON ARRIVAL E53 FOUND ONE PD UNIT ON SIDE A OF THE STRUCTURE. E53 PACKED UP AND PROCEEDED TO INVESTIGATE. I FOUND TWO OFFICERS WHO STATED THAT THIS WAS A BREAK IN. HE STATED THAT SOME ONE HAD FORCED ENTRY THRU THE BACK DOOR AND HAD TRIED TO STEAL TWO TANKS OF WHAT APPEAREDTO BE AMMONIA. HE ALSO STATED THAT THEY HAD ENTERED THE BUILDING ON SIDE C. THEY SMELLED AMMONIA AND SAW TWO TANKS ON THE FLOOR NEAR THE REAR ROLL UP DOOR. E53 GAVE AN UPDATE TO FIRE3 AND MADE ENTRY FROM SIDE A WITH TWO FIREFIGHTERS. WE SAW TWO ANHYDROUS AMMONIA TANKS ON THE FLOOR. THEY WERE CABLED TO GATHER. ONE HAD A CAP ON THE OTHER WAS CONNECTED TO A SUPPLY CABLE . THE SUPPLY LINE HAD BEEN SEVERED BUT THE VALVE WAS CLOSED. WE VENTILATED BY OPENING THE DOORS. WE UPRIGHTED THE TANKS. THE TWO OFFICERS WERE EVALUATED BY A54. SCENE WAS CLEARED. PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE TANKS WERE NOT IN A SAFTEY CABINET. THEY WERE ONLY STRAPPED TO THE WALL.I THINK THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO BE IN A CABINET. PLEASE REFER TO FPO.
