At 1458 hours on Tuesday April 23, 2002 we were dispatched to an oil or other
combustible liquid spill. One unit was assigned to this incident. We arrived on scene at
1501 hours and cleared at 1525 hours. The incident occurred at 12632 35 Ave S, Tukwila
in District 010. The general description of this property is street. The primary task(s)
performed at the scene by responding personnel was hazard removal. No mutual/automatic
aid was given or received.
Alarm number 0001180 has been assigned to this incident.
E53 has been dispatched to this call several times. this is a private garbage truck that parks
on the street . It leaks oil most of the time. This vehicle has stead oil from s 120th st to s
130 st in the past. I have witnessed cars slide thru the intersection at s 130 st because of
this truck leaking
This vehicle owner likes to park in the road on East Marginal Way at the intersection of s
130 st. In my opinon he is greating a traffic hazard . L 54 can not make the turn at this
intersection because it is to sharp. L54 needs to go straight at this intersection when
traveling n/b. This section of road needs to be labeled no parking on the west side of East
M arginal Wy S.
ON THIS RESPONSE THE OWNER GOT AGGRESSIVE WITH ONE OF MY FIRE
FIGHTERS. I heard ff rodal tell him not to touch him. I turned around to see this person
moving towards FF RODAL. I was concerned enough to head him off. I told him to back
off our I would have handcuffed. I 'm not going to allow any one threaten my firefighters.
I think it is time to remove this vehicle . These confrontations must stop.

Re: Incident #020001180
We were dispatched to an oil spill at 13000 E. Marginal way SO. When we arrived I was
asked by Lt. Wheeler to get some rice hull ash and spread it on the spill. While we were
walking up to the truck that was allegedly leaking the oil the owner started swearing
telling us to get out of here. He began to step toward me (while carrying a wrench) in a
threatening manner. He was about a step away pointing his finger at me. I then told him
not to touch me and I took a step backwards. He stopped and told me to get out of here
and put that shit back on the truck. I was then ordered by Lt. Wheeler to spread the rice
hull ash on the alleged spill (it appeared to be an old oil spill with water on it). The whole
time FF. Waller was standing beside me and witnessed the whole thing. I spread the rice
hull ash and Waller spread it around with the broom and we took a scoop shovel and
picked up the remnants and disposed it in the dirt where the owner ask me to put it. We
were then dispatched to another call and left the rest of the incident for PD.
