combustible liquid spill. Three units were assigned to this incident. Six personnel
responded. We arrived on scene at 2043 hours and cleared at 2145 hours. The incident
occurred at 13600 Interurban Ave S, Tukwila in District 001.
Upon our arrival we found an aproximate four feet wide by one half to one mile long spill
on the road of an unknown oily substance. The spill started at the intersection of 48th and
Interurban. From there, the spill went south on Interurban, onto the onramp to NB I-5,
and north on I-5 as far as I could see.
I notified Washington State Patrol and Tukwila Police. I had the aid car go to the
Rendering works to see if they had recently sent a truck out....they had not. PD checked th
area and found no source for the spill either.
Unknown product, unknown cause.
We put Rice Hull Ash on the spill on Interurban and the on-ramp. WSP had state DOT
sand the onramp and I-5.
The local station is ST54. The general description of this property is highway or divided
highway. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was
