Incident Report

sprit. xeporteu by a passerby.
One unit was assigned to this incident. Three personnel responded. We arrived on scene at
1016 hours to find three 5 gallons buckets with heavy damage and all the contents spilled
onto the dirt area off the shoulder area of the road.
The plastic bucket was labeled as a combustible liquid called Acrylic Bondcrete. The
liquid contents that spilled appeared to be the original contents of this container. A small
amount of thinner had leaked from the second empty damaged bucket. Total liquid spilled
was approximately 3-5 gallons.
The spill was already contained to the ground by the dirt, but a secondary dike was built of
dirt, and absorbant pads were added to eliminate chance of further contamination.
DOT was contacted. Gary Durst advised that a DOT crew would be enroute to clean up
the spill, as this area was just off of Pacific HWY and Highway 599. He advised this was
thier jourisdiction. DOE was also contacted, and advised they would communicate with
DOT to determine if they would need to come to the scene also.
The spill remained contained to area of orgin, and due to it being off the roadway we
returned in service knowing that DOT was enroute. We cleared at 1053 hours. The
incident occurred at 11600 PACIFIC Hwy S, just west of PHS ,Tukwila in District 015.
The local station is ST53. The general description of this property is highway or divided
