Tukwila Fire Department
Two units were assigned to this incident. Five personnel responded. We arrived on scene
at 1628 hours and cleared at 1704 hours. The incident occurred at 14415 Tukwila
Intemationa Blvd, Tukwila in District 013.
Upon arrival we found a stained path from gasoline leading from the most easterly set of
pumps. We were informed by a witness that the pump handle was left by the person
pumping the fuel. When the tank was full, the pump did not tum off and spilled over for a
few seconds until someone was able to get to it to shut it off. We also ordered the store
manager to take the pump out of service until a service rep was able to. A surprise visit
the next day, reveled a receipt for all the work we ordered. I signed it also.
A54 was first on the scene and confirmed that the spill had stopped and the drains were
covered to prevent any further product . We covered the spill area with rice hull ash and
checked inside the catch basin. We notified the property manager and ordered him to have
a clean-up company come and pump out the catch basin and clean the pipe out.

At 1620 hours on Thursday September 19, 2002 we were dispatched to a gasoline spill.
Two units were assigned to this incident. Five personnel responded. We arrived on scene
