At 1231 hours on Friday September 20, 2002 we were dispatched to a hazmat release
investigation with no hazmat. One unit was assigned to this incident. Upon arrival we
found what appeared to be transmission fluid , or some kind of hydraulic fluid. We air
monitored with our 4 gas detector and found no readings in any catagory. We then
covered with Rice Hull Ash which removed the slippery hazard.
Three personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 1235 hours and cleared at 1245 hours.
The incident occurred at 13200 Tukwila Intemationa Blvd, Tukwila in District 015. The
local station is ST53. The general description of this property is residential street, road or
residential driveway. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel
were material detection, monitoring, sampling, and analysis. No mutual/automatic aid was
given or received.
