A person had punched a hole in the bottom of the gas tank to steal gasoline. Four units were assigned to this incident. Nine personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 0745 hours and cleared at 0920 hours. The incident occurred at In rear of 4304 S 131 Pl, Tukwila. The general description of this property is vehicle parking area. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel were to identify and analyze hazardous materials. No mutual/automatic aid was given or received. Crew from E-52 pumped out the sump behind the business and placed the liquid (mostly water) into overpack containers. We then absorbed the gasoline off of the top of the containers and dumped the water down the sanitary sewer. The absorbent pads were placed in an overpack container and left for the owner to dispose of properly. We told him to call D.O.E for disposal. He asked if it was ok to call a hazmat disposal company that they contract with. I said it would be ok. The Tukwila City Sewer Department was waiting for an engineer to look further at the drains in the area to see in there was any further contamination. We could not see any further contamination Air monitors used were the MiniRAE and the MicroMAX 4 - 2 1/2 gallon overpack containers were used and permanently contaminated. 1- 5 gallon overpack container was used for disposal of absorbent pads. 2 - Bags of rice hull ash were used. 1- Glass tube was used to sample water in the sump Alarm number 0000753 has been assigned to this incident.
