scene at 1940 hours and cleared at 1956 hours. The incident occurred at 15150 65 Ave S,
Tukwila in District 003. The local station is ST52. The general description of this property
is multifamily dwelling. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding
personnel was investigation. Other special haz mat actions were also taken. No
mutual/automatic aid was given or received.
Alarm number 0001769 has been assigned to this incident.
Resident called to report odor of lighter fluid in the entry area to building seven. Upon
arrival when we neared the area of the entry to building seven we began to smell the
ligheter fluid or charcol briquette lighter smell. It was fairly strong in the entry are. After
being on location a few minutes the reporting party met us and stated that it was stronger
inside of the building. We entered with the MicroMax and started to detect LEL and CO

At 1937 hours on Friday June 6, 2003 we were dispatched to a chemical hazard (no spill or
leak). One unit was assigned to this incident. Three personnel responded. We arrived on
scene at 1940 hours and cleared at 1956 hours. The incident occurred at 15150 65 Ave S,
Tukwila in District 003. The local station is ST52. The general description of this property

reading. We checked down the hallway until we had max readings of LEL-3 and CO -4.
We were in front of unit 716. Contacted that occupant and found that he had recently
lighted the briquette BBQ on his balcony. He had the sliding glass door wide open to his
unit. The fumes were being drawn into his apartment and then into the hallway. Had him
close the sliding glass door and then opened up the corrodor doors to allow ventilation.
E-52 in service- returning.
