Two units were assigned to this incident. Seven personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 1954 hours and cleared at 2037 hours. The incident occurred at 15252 Tukwila International Blvd, Tukwila in District 12. The local station is 54. The general description of this property is service station, gas station. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. No mutual/automatic aid was given or received. Alarm number 0002623 has been assigned to this incident. Dispatched to gas spill, a 25 gallon barrel fell off a truck and rolled down Southcenter Bl, a passerby stopped it and set it upright, eventually it ended up inside the Arco store. We arrived to find rp, he showed us the area of spill and advised barrel was in store. We placed rice hull ash on what remained in street, mostly just a little slick, for traction. In the store we found an approx 15 to 25 gallon blue barrel with no caps (2) with approx 5 gallons of product appearing to be gasoline. Looking inside, it smelled like gas and looked fairly clear. E52 was phoned and requested to bring two 5 gallon overpack cans. When they arrived, we placed 1/2 in each can and filled with enough rice hull ash to soak up the liquid. When poured, the liquid was light blue. Unk if it was eating the plastic barrel. B51 was in the area and joined the call and transported the two overpacks to station 51 for DOE disposal.
